We are delighted to send you this e-news publication, the purpose of which is to pull together the various aspects of work being done by Heart for the City around the world, to keep you informed and to make you aware of upcoming events as well as ministry, investment and social opportunities.
Mandate
Heart for the city is an international ministry that operates under divine Mandate to empower the marketplace Christians and empower the Christian response to the Economic, Social and Spiritual challenges in our communities, our calling is to transform communities and change lives. HFTC has major impact in most of the continents in the world directly and indirectly. We have official presence in 11 nations and we are constantly exploring new opportunities to do the same.
Word from the C.E.O
It was a great pleasure meeting with various groups of people during my resent trip to the USA. Great things happened during this trip and the Lord has been very gracious to us.
I had a safe trip back to the UK and my team is very ready to help you in all ways.
The Lord has been speaking to me strongly on The Market Place as a place of Spiritual Violence.
“ 12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. 13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. 14 And if you are willing to receive it, he is Elijah who is to come. 15 He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
16 “But to what shall I liken this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling to their companions.” Mathew 11:12-15
The Church and the Christian Community have either ignored the market place totally or isolated it and created a dichotomy between the Sacred and the Secular. The stigma, suspicion and condemnation that faces Christians in the marketplace has made it unpopular for many to identify it and have prophesied doom. No wonder many Christians fail to succeed in this field let alone stand out on their own as successful market place authorities.
Updates
Kenya
Ushindi Bank Ltd.
We have officially closed the sale of Ushindi Bank shares as from the 1st July 2010. We have given all subscribers an opportunity to pay up their commitments as agreed on the subscription forms.
For subscribers who have not honoured their commitments, their shares will be sold at the same price, first to existing interested shareholders or new shareholders who had no chance to subscribe.
Our main investors have committed all the finances and we have opted to buy an existing bank. More updates on this development will be shared before the end of July
Ushindi Bank Under Formation is continuing to break new ground with an increasing interest in the banking model from Scandinavian countries there is a possibility of a great announcement within a few weeks.
Diaspora City
Heart for the City is involved in the development of the first Diaspora City in Kenya. More details to follow in future newsletter. If you would like any support
Faith Streams Mineral Water
Progress on the Faith Streams Natural Mineral Water project is encouraging. Various buyers have been identified and the product is doing well on the market. St Monica
The Container of Computers toolkits and other important training facility was finally cleared from Mombasa Port. This is a major step towards the centre taking off.
A team from the UK is working hard to prepare for the October work camp where various volunteers will be involved in physical work in St Monica, Nakuru Kenya.

Heart2Heart Calling System
The UK Office has made great progress in its aims of becoming one of the leading international calling service providers on the market. Our Calling System, dubbed Heart2Heart, will uses Voice Over Internet protocol technologies to connect people all around the world and provide a wide range of services, such as, Cheap International Calls, Call Centre Services, Low Cost Home telephony systems, Virtual Numbers, Call Back Services, Call Termination and Money remittance solutions, to meet the needs of individuals, ministries and businesses.
It is currently operational and members are encouraged to help in testing the system. This system is available to all USA & UK residents and efforts will be made to extend this innovative service all around the world.
GICC
GICC is also making great strides in reaching out with the gospel. The evangelism team has made it a point to distribute tracts on the streets of Glasgow every week and to share a word as they do so. This we believe is our first and foremost duty as a ministry.

Heart for the City is delighted to offer membership to all members of the public. Levels of membership are Gold, Silver, Bronze and Ivory. With a Gold Membership, you will be entitled to a 15% discount on all Heart for the City investments. You will also be assigned a successful Christian Mentor in the field of your interest to guide you through your business ideas and prospects.
